All the tea types come from the tea plant, and the tastes people usually talk about when talking about tea are added spices to usually black or green tea.
Herbal teas are other drinks produced in the same way as tea but that don't actually use the real tea leaves. Technically, they're not tea.
Generally, all tea that comes in bags or colorful boxes is trash sold at hipsters who only drink it because it's totally coffee. Quality teas are imported from Asia or found in your local muslim-run halal store.
Also, ceylon tea is a black tea from Sri Lanka. Earl Greys and Yellow Label teas and breakfast teas and such are just specific names for certain mixes of tea types with certain spices, and given that they're mostly sold by western companies they almost universally suck.
Green tea is the tea with the most legitimate health benefits and substance uses. It's actually so druggy you can get drunk off it.
