>>22489941There's a scene in 1984, where the two factory workers are looking down at the peasant woman, doing her laundry outside, and they remark that her simple life is, in some ways, superior to theirs. She wants nothing more than love and friendship.
Maybe while you're chasing art, career, ego, starting wars, you're spending less time with friends and family. Maybe you think you're doing the right thing, trying to improve the world, by spending so much time focused on others, rather than yourself, or just screwing around with people you like.
I think the path through these weeds is that there has to be an agreement of what path you want to walk, between husband and wife. And some paths require time and energy to traverse, and if you're halfway down one path, while she's halfway down a different path, you're going to have to start at square one, and maybe it would be better for you to both find someone else...
You get to choose what kind of life you want. If this woman in front of you doesn't want to go down the path you do, then it's going to be difficult. It helps to be a match with your lady on some level. I mean, my last gf was a pop culturite, and it was difficult. But we could have made it work. Although I was dealing with a lot, and she didn't want to wait any longer for me.
