>>22501834Assuming your main issue is social anxiety since you are here here's a post i made on it a while ago:
i've read a ton of books on this the only two i'd recommend are
best sort of traditional/cbt workbook (goes over all the basics with social anxiety)
https://www.amazon.com/Shyness-Social-Anxiety-Workbook-Step/dp/1626253404/rBook on social anxiety and dating (really good/unqiue book on social anxiety in general though, highly recommend)
https://www.amazon.com/Dating-Without-Fear-Overcome-Anxiety/dp/B0B14RS12Qhe also has a great youtube channel with a variety of more populr and more academic videos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdB4FR0L8aMhe gets it and is very thoughtful
All the other ones I've read haven't added ANYTHING onto the total stuff you get from these two books, the main thing w/ social anxiety is exposure and actual practice. If you can get a shrink to guide you through it that's a plus but it isn't necessary. Reading into it past these two is just wasting time avoiding that.
It's very well researched and has a very high recovery w/ treatment (so long as you get the actual specific treatment for your issue, not just doing stuff randomly.) social anxiety in particular has very high recovery.
I'd get some CBT workbook related to whatever you are dealing with.
Lifestyle makes a huge difference, meditation, regular sleep (8 hrs, waking up at the same time), eating healthy, avoiding drugs, going on a walk in the morning, having creative hobbies that aren't doomscrolling.
I'd press you to be specific in identifying your issues and figuring out achievable practical steps you can take to improve on them. LLMs like claude/chat gpt are very good for this.
I recommend to everyone write up as comprehensive as possible a life story/overview of your issues (save it in a claude project) then ask for specific research and daily practices that can help you improve your negative symptoms.
