It's a real-world american knockoff of the RPG-7
>notalltechpeople I disagree, even my close friends are foul and awful when game dev or software come up; I once said something as simple as "in [gamemaker] surely there's a floor and ceil or clamp function, isn't using if-thens slow?" and he disagreed and insisted that no such functions exist. floor and ceil don't mean that and what I called them and clamping isn't even a function in literally any language at all ever. Only after I insisted a whole bunch did we get to looking them up, and sure enough, while I was mistaken on ceil and floor*, there is absolutely a clamp function and it worked exactly as I described and was, honestly, something he should have been EXTRA familiar with, since it's a graphics term, and he was just done doing a literal OpenGL course at a fucking local college!! but to say, for almost an hour, that "clamping" isn't a term at all, and then there it is right there and easy to understand, and he still looks at me like I'm a fucking retard for saying "hey don't use a series of if-thens to make sure a number is in a range; use the clamp function"
This is why I hate tech, no matter what I say, it's always wrong. the actual correctness of whatever I say is never what's actually in question; I said it, so it's fucked up. I get floors and ceilings outright wrong, and it's treated exactly the same as perfectly describing what clamping is**
I hate that I've wasted around 10 years of my life getting into vidya and software, and by the time I was nearing the end of high school, familar with web dev, liking level design, interested in modding, always hopeful about it and it's just all trash, MKULTRA style gangstalking tier bullying, and the years since have all been forfeit
