Possibly. Some brokers charge fees per trade on non-US exchanges. It's usually just a few dollars per trade but in one instance on a Canadian stock it was $50, which was crazy. I believe the brokers are passing on fees charged by foreign exchanges. Fuck Canada, eh?
I've adapted and use brokers eat the fees.
The foreign symbols are long and end in F. We can almost always find the same symbols ending in Y, which are free to trade. The ones ending in F are usually at least fairly obscure to us. I think that Scandanavian submersible company is one I'm watching.

saw things from a whole new perspective. had a revealing experience. been months since i smoked weed so it hit me very hard. thought about /smg/ a good deal, what i'm doing here, what you are all doing here, the whole point of this, really spent the whole high in self reflection and i think it was good for me. lotta self-criticism but also a lot of humor and inspiration. i'm definitely a whole different person when i'm stoned, and it does make me a more contented person, but it made me question loving, the way normies do, understood again the way you put your vices and pleasures ahead of your relationships. think everyone has an urge for companionship not just me, tfw no gf is real. weed is a great coping tool for that, makes you really self-critical and like you shame those behaviors out of yourself.. almost made me wanna quit blogging, but now that i'm coming down i'm right back at it. sober me though sees the benefits of love and blogging though, how important that is, and i can't believe i saw it any other way but i did just now. we have a spark in our hearts for friendship and belonging and there's something to that. part of why i hate all the negativity here sometimes, the social urge itself comes from a place of tender yearning, a weak and vulnerable spot inside us that needs others, needs attention and validation. then again i don't have friends irl, some people have enough relationships to keep their souls warm and they come here to dump toxic waste, i get that too, wish they wouldn't though. anyways feeling more enlightened but also like i got run over in a way, very taxing physically and mentally, don't want to get caught up in this again, but i do need to keep weed a part of my life i think, so long as it's going the way it is, had been too long without my medicine.

Switch to IBKR fren. Some smaller listings have higher fees but the major ones usually charge a buck or a few per trade. I use two brokers, IBKR for leverage, trading, dividend stocks and the like, and Nordnet for my Finnish tax free account. Nordnet has prohibitively high costs per trade but it works out for buying big amounts and holding long term. The Finnish tax free account double taxes you on foreign dividends because of foreign withholding taxes so unless I'm buying Finnish stocks, if it's for dividends or shorter term trading I use IBKR. IBKR also has a much bigger selection of stocks and instruments. The tax free account is still worth it for long term buying and holding though. Bit annoying that with IBKR I also need to report the taxes manually which is extremely arduous.

yes, it has many downsides. on the other hand it changes thought patterns and like i said gives new perspectives, all drugs do that, and it's a big contributor to who i am as a person there's no doubt in my mind about that. nothing is free though and it does ruin your motivation and ambition, but that stuff can be harmful too and just as mind bending and behavior driving, it's just considered "normal" though.

ok so the dollar is an extremely important asset because of the reserve currency, and it's value and trajectory are both important to foreign governments trying to import with it, both those things effect their decisionmaking. and gold and rates are two levers that can be pulled to effect the value and trajectory of the dollar and they often are used just like that, and the moves in those assets are like the puppeteer pulling the strings on the dxy, moving it up and down.

The US wants a weaker dollar because they want to return industry on American soil and improve exports, in order to balance the budget and start solving the debt issue. Good for gold imo. Since now that the USD wants to move down, it's going to race to the bottom with all the other currencies that have until now depended on a strong dollar. Trump really doesn't want a weaker Yuan or weaker Euro or weaker Yen, etc. and I think that's what these tarifffs are also partly about.
