>>22565127No. It's the Christian passover (Acts 12:4), contrasted with the Jews' passover (John 11:55). The former celebrates the Resurrection, the latter the Crucifixion. Germanic languages (not just Anglic ones) have always called it by this name, meaning it's not named after a hypothetical Anglo-Saxon goddess. "East-er" just refers to the sun rising in the East, just like the Son rose from death (defeating it, and my sin with it).
