>>22604071It's actually insane how little doctors know about testicle injuries/infections/medical issues in general. I had a 3 year long bout with chronic aching pain (mainly in the right one) that was diagnosed as many different things. Epididymitis (often used as a blanket term when doctors have no clue what's going on), potential torsion, pinched nerve, hernia at birth, and then the last doctor told me that I had a vestigial testicular appendage that had managed to twist. they all also reported different findings from xrays, too; from an excess of scar tissue to just inflamed epididymal tubes. Regardless, I ended up diagnosing myself with a brief vulnerability to infection of the epididymal tubes that turned into extreme pelvic floor tension.
I cured myself with super consistent ibuprofen and then exposing my testicles to heavy streams of concentrated water for a kind of pain exposure therapy. Nowadays, I pretty much have some kind of pain every day. I never notice, though, because it is basically equivalent to having slightly uncomfortable muscle/bone soreness. Funnily enough, today is the first day in months I've had pain down there be pretty uncomfortable. Time for a shower I guess
