I just realized the origins of superstition and therefore religion and why some people are religions. It's easy:
>people were afraid of the dark
>they contributed sounds in the dark to superstitious things
>they stayed out of the dark to survive
>that grew into rituals (to fend of the dark), they were dancing together, chanting. This released endorphins in the brain that bonded the group together.
>essentially bonding like this made the group stronger
>having a "religion" made the group STRONGER
>It's an evolutionary 'herd' mentality. We have evolved to be 'superstitious'. It's a survival instinct.
>A religion or a superstition keeps the "herd" together and keeps everyone not part of the "herd" away (as you can easily pick them out by their "beliefs")
It's so simple it's hilarious.
And the reason why you believe in it is because you are a DOG (bark bark)
