I've been doing some digging in the meantime. Turns out Scandinavian countries are only well-off due to not having been damaged one bit by WW2, which is down to luck, and due to USA investing in relatively tiny irrelevant populations. Basically $1 Billion US Dollars is chump change for Americans who are 340 million and over, but when applied to shitholes that barely have 5-6 million people, with Sweden being the only exception with 10 million albeit that's going down too, $1 Billion all of a sudden makes a big difference.
It's like dumping city-level money on a village. Hence the Scandinavian economy was born, not from intellect, but from luck and US investment on chump change populations.
