Do you think anything has taken the place of music in our society? In the past, people would more commonly come together and bond over music, it was a much bigger deal in the past, and music would help bring people together over social causes and movements. Instead of like playing video games all day, people would listen to music instead, it can kind of take the same place and act as a similar outlet.

Nowadays though, Trent Reznor said he doesn’t think music is as big of a deal as it used to, he said maybe video games will take that place, in terms of having some big message and that brings people together.

But I don’t really see anything today having this same effect, I think due to the prevalence if apathy and nihilism. But I’m not sure, what do you think?
