Having a few beers on weekends isn't a problem. In fact it helps build good relationships with friends as long as you don't become an alcoholic. But a lot of us are ex alcoholics who can not drink anymore. Becoming a daily addicted alcohol drinker is pure torture and hell.

I'm 36 and yes I stopped. But I only stopped last year. 30s is when the physical/mental effects of alcohol start to show ime, best to stop and reclaim your sober balls

Any fellow alcoholics consider cutting back to just sipping light beers?
I've drank like 6-8 light beers a night for over a decade. My lab tests and physical health are fine. The only light beer jew for me is that it keeps you content in a trade that you know pays great but will destroy your body long before the beer does. It's too late to learn to code I guess

If your car isn't a hybrid or electric, then the fundamental technology hasn't changed since the 50s. The difference between a totally mechanical engine/tranny and a modern, digital one is that you reprogram a setting instead of turning a screw to tune stuff.

The real problem with modern cars is that they're full of wires and plastic bullshit that doesn't come apart very easily.

i'm 32 and I just stopped earlier this month. By saturday I will mark 1 month sober for the first time in a few years, and before that I don't know if I've ever gone a month sober since turning drinking age. It's given me lots of insights into how crazy and antisocial my drinking was and how impressive it was that I could hold a job and maintain a social life while drinking daily at around 11AM. I'm smoking weed now which makes me pretty antisocial too but at least I'm not killing myself and paying lots of money to do it

I've learned on my own. There's jewtube to learn, you know. Start with simple stuff - brake pads, oil changes. You can easily do that yourself on the driveway. Suspesnsion parts - more complicated but still doable. Accessories on the engine and electronics is another level and then comes tearing down the engine itself. Which I haven't done yet, cause my car seems to be bulletproof, but I think I would be able to, if I had too.
