>>22748806Compassion is the willingness to abandon a power differential you have with another person. Its a fundamental slider in the design of society, where on one end you have anarchism and the other a communist state. The problem in both scenarios is that if an individual actor refuses to partake in compassion, then the interactions between that individual and everyone else are fundamentally not compassionate. If left unchecked, the uncompassionate individual or group gains power if compassion is exploited from everyone else. I.E, if a rando asshole in a town of ten shoots one of the other 9 and the other 8 decide to let him walk free, then the asshole has been empowered and gains more power over the group.
This is why moral codes are important. They dictate the rules of engagement and when compassion should not be applied. The solution to the worlds problems with international jewry, corruption, war, etc is a function of a societal moral code. If this is splintered or other uneven in a nation, no one can agree on what the rules of engagement should be on the application of compassion, which is why you see issues like abortion rights or dei shit pop up out of the woodwork. Culture war bullshit has its place, but its propagated by non-conpassionate actors for their own powers sake.
We are on the verge of a new moral code being developed in the US, whether that be christian fundamentalism, woke socialist green new deal types, or the worship at the temple of money. AI is forcing the hand more quickly than what the masters would have liked.
