You should keep trying and make a dream journal! I always try to write them down but I don't like people hearing me sing so I haven't done anything with them yet. You can always use them for loose inspiration too, I get a lot of story ideas that way

The one where my throat hurt I was gliding above a crowded street in a fantasy world that looked like China or Japan, I was humming a tune and I noticed that I was starting to become out of breath the farther I went but I kept trying to hold on it until it ended.
A lot of them seem to happen in the same megalopolis, the flying one was at night and I was perched on one of these great big buildings like a bird, it was scary but I leapt off and floated slightly before I'd land so I kept jumping and leaping. In the same city at day there was a girl and an old man building hot air balloons from trash and we soared over the city as it gleamed in the light. Another was in a big underground theatre beneath a grocery store in the employee area and there was a revolutionary group giving anti-government speeches
In the fantasy dreams I do funny stuff like helping giants with trees growing out of their heads who then carry me around or walk around abandoned castles with stairs leading to the sky. Sometimes there are battles but I'm always useless and get trampled by a horse or something stupid. I think the common theme is always being out of place or seperate from the world and therefore not having to obey its laws completely, which also make for more interesting stories, like dream isekai
