>>22774734The reality is that some people just shouldn't be allowed to vote. The problem therein lies with how you draw that line without removing agency from the informed and intelligent. This used to be done through a system of land ownership granting voting rights, albeit this was designed in a time that a small handful of nobility owned the land or claimed title to it, and distributed among those they favored.
The reality is that within the system, the crazy homeless beggar on the corner has as much a say as you do regarding matters of importance. Unless you are directly connected and engaged with the system, actively manipulating it. That's not a good thing.
