I can't un-notice it now whenever I watch anime and the japanese main character is literally Bjorgen Thunderborn from Sweden and when a chinese or korean person show up they literally look like 1940s asian caricatures. At least when other ethnicities make drawings (even with fantasy elements like different eye colors due to superpowers or something) they still have elements of their real world looks in the design. This just seems very self hating.
