Roll, and start your journey.
0. You stay in Scandinavia, attending to your farm, your shop, or your craftsmanship. Life is harsh, but you are able to provide for your family.
1. You join Ragnar Lodbrok in his invasion of Britain, as one of his huskarls. You take an arrow in the knee, during the heat of battle. Because of your service, you are rewarded a fief of land.
2. You voyage to Ireland, but your band of raiders is defeated. Only you are alive, yet you become captive, with the possibility of execution looming large.
3. You travel to Slavic lands, and make your fortune, and even help to found a new state with which to lead the Rus Vikings and the Slavs.
4. You journey with a small expedition curious to sail far north of Scandinavia, but you run aground on a freezing, icy island without trees to repair your longboat. You shiver constantly.
5. You travel to Iceland, and integrate with the mixed population of Norsemen, with mostly Celtic wives. You make a comfortable living, but are not rich. You feel more freedom here than in Norway, Sweden, or Denmark.
6. You sail to Greenland with Erik the Red, and you live at a relatively isolated colony, but with little to no trees. Life is harsh, but you become used to it.
7. You sail with Leif Erikson. You are one of those that survived the journey to the New World, and the Skraelings' attack upon your new colony, returning to Greenland to tell the tale.
8. You join an expedition to the new colony in the far west, from Norway, Iceland, or Greenland. You make it to North America, but you are captured by the native Skraelings, and considered for execution.
9. You join a band of Rus Vikings to journey to Central Asia. Your company runs into a large band of nomadic warriors, and loses the battle, most of the Rus dead. You and the remainder are forced to travel east with them, and are sold off to China as slaves.
