The winter is way worse, there's no heat and there's holes in the roof and walls, so it gets as cold in here as it does outside.
There's a whole chain of dependencies that terminates with a pipe I can't access (yet) that burst in the garage.
I kind of do think the house is beyond help, but only in the sense everything would need to be rebuilt.
So it's hard to gauge if it's worth sticking with it or trying to sell it and pivot. I want to keep it for a variety of reasons, but that's gonna be a lot of time and effort, but also, it would be a real house.
I'm also terrified of fixing it myself in case I make some massive house-level mistake, so I'm dragging my feet there.
I've gotten really good at eeking by in life on the bare minimum, but this is NOT how one should ever live, let alone long term. I gotta figure this shit out.
I appreciate your positivity and encouragement. It's nice to know that an outside perspective can still see this situation as salvageable. That matters to me right now.
