I wouldn't have thought about it much before Fishtank, at all. But we see how Jet uses the show as some kind of way to find girls he wants to have sex with. It's not at all how you would expect a competitive "show" to be ran, especially with Sam putting money behind it.
We see that this kind of behavior is completely normalized among production, only generating concern and anxiety when "known" instances are exposed like Marky (Has there been a Claire handcuffs TTS yet this season? Might be too niche yet)
I don't know if I trust Channing enough to say Sam liked Big Purple or diapers or whatever else. But he's 40 years old, unwed with illegitimate children with MUCH younger women (has to be at 40 I suppose, egg cartons empty) and the people working around him have mentioned that he has new girlfriends pretty frequently. We would have to estimate that he's slept with probably 100 women at this point. Now that he's had a steady unbanned social media presence for 2-3 years at this point, the women probably show up themselves if he wants them. But around the time Jet got hired? Maybe not so much, And maybe not the specific kind of broken-home suggestible low self-esteem women that Sam specifically wants for. And now Jet as well. And to that point, Jet is 27-28 and perpetually single while also being rumored/confirmed to fuck the women in the FIshtank sphere which he manages. A true mini-me to a T.
