The issue, as what I said before, was how it was presented. Sending all those factories over to China was very short term growth for long term decay, while not a direct cause to diminishing traditional values it paved the way for it to be attacked and destroyed just by being weakened now.
No, the real issue populists have today is they refuse to fight for and stand up for their values for the fear of social and economic punishment only to be punished anyway for existing. That is why they struggle in so many other countries.
