I decided I'll stick with what I got for now, everyone out of the market until august maybe.

I understand why they say sell in May and walk away. Everyone more that likely is only positioning themselves, no major moves until later in the summer.

but BRCC looks interesting, all time low today, all new management, and still selling their product all over the nation, got a few shops across the west.
gonna read more about them tomorrow tho, so 24 hours from now I'll give a short report on them.

Its all about the mental game after you learn TA.

Thats why the big dawgs all have 15+ tickers in their portfolio, they all even each other out but only go up. Thats what I decided I really need, not lotto catalyst stuff.

I was looking at the options chains for some of my more boring stocks that really haven’t significantly moved in about eight months. They pay dividends so I’m not really bothered. I have noticed that while the bid prices say 0.00 for selling calls, if I actually click them I can sell a weekly call and make about 0.50 per contract (after the .50 fee). At the end of the month this could give me an extra $20-$30 USD to invest. I know this may not seem like much but over here it is. Is there some kind of downside to doing this? This seems to me like I could basically get paid for setting a limit sell order. You pick up enough coins from the ground and eventually the change jar is full. You guys know what I mean?

selling covered calls is pretty safe, but i had this weird fantasy where i sold covered calls and the stock went absolutely vertical and it made the option go parabolic and put my account in negative, don't think that's actually possible though, but theoretically it is. but the actual downside is if the stock goes up a lot, you have to sell it, and also if you hold the option and the stock goes down, you kind of have to hold the stock as well otherwise it's a naked call and you can get hurt badly. but as long as you're responsible about it, it's pretty good strategy, but i have that option myself, 2700 shares of intc, and i don't want to cuck myself out of upside, although i have done it before and i should have done a lot more.

The downside is if a big move suddenly happens, you could be thrown in the money. A flash crash could be very bad if you're selling puts, and those do happen occasionally. With covered calls it's not as dangerous, but if news of a buyout leaks or something you'd be screwed. I sell deep otm covered calls on opex days pretty often, and once had a company spike about 15% on friday afternoon, closing just barely below my strike.

nice long nap. definitely dreamed, but don't remember them, but i think it was intense, woke up sweaty and took another shower. gotta get to the gym soon, but need a few moments, still in a bit of a haze. feeling like i might have blundered exiting that biotech trade, but it's lower than i sold so maybe i can get back in, make money back. i'll see. think i'm done trading for a good while though, feels good to be out, volatility is down and the market is back to ath. also not having to worry about evil tricks. that "nothing ever happens" article that was floating around here and /biz/ the other day made me very suspicious and paranoid. i don't put anything past tptb, and that stuff i said about the last china trade deal is all true, see many parallels to today, but one difference is relations between us and china are probably even worse.

hoping the people i care about can get the messages i'm trying to send them. i was acting kind of goofy earlier, fatigue does that to me, but i meant what i said. i see a lot of potential in some of you and it pains me when you don't live up to it, indulge in bad behavior, and i do want your love penelope. all in all though i had a pretty good day, and i think it will get better. made a lot of improvements to my mtg deck, ready to push for top 250 in the next couple days, will have to sideline my other projects for that, but it should be a fun challenge.
