The mouse got caught on one of my insect boards on his way to the instant kill trap with peanut butter in it.
I thought he was such a vile and disgusting creature a couple days ago when he slid under my fridge, but up close he didn't look like a monster. He looked scared confused and defeated with his back legs glued to the paper, and he would have tried to pull himself about a half-foot before realizing there is no escaping his death, or no longer had the strength to pull himself forward.
I used some sticks to put him in a plastic bag, then I took him outside and laid him on a flat brick, took a another one, made the sign of the cross, and dropped it.
His death was instant.
With a heavy heart and fists clenched, I turned around and looked up at the sky for a few moments. I felt like Gyomei Himejima.
Dad will pick up the bag and throw it in the trash for me later
