It's Hot and muggy. Beware of ticks. People are very friendly and go out of their way to help you, blacks included. People also are more wrathful when angered. Lots of Confederate sentiment, a small family-run inn I stayed at had a whole library of confederate/civil war books and huge pictures of Lee and Davis on the walls.
Overall a very nice place. 8/10.
