You see, since the beginning of time there has been Tonys and there has been Carmelas. Every Carmela has a Tony. Lately though, there have been Carmelas who think they can go their own way "I don't need no Tony Im a strong independent woman!". As soon as they come to this conclusion, they aren't Carmela anymore. Theyve just become a Jennifer. And do you know what happens to Jennifer's? They get raped and murdered because they don't have a Tony. They could have had a Tony, they could have avoided the rape, they could have been Carmela. They chose the path of the raped. It's a conscious choice. So is it even rape at that point? I don't think so. They consented when they denied themself a Tony. Simple as.
