India has had arranged marriage for about 2,000 years. Around 90% of all marriages in India are arranged, and the other 10% are de facto arranged (that is, they have explicit parental involvement and approval).
As such, the idea of romantic courting doesn’t exist in Indian culture. Why would it? They don’t have any use for it. Women have been married off as property for two millennia. What would be the point of dating when you already have a wife lined up?
They separate adolescent boys and girls for the same reason. It’s a pragmatic decision; boys and girls aren’t the same, and they don’t have any need to be together. The result is an entire nation of men who are completely clueless as to how to interact with girls.
This explains their weird behavior toward women, the cringe slow motion train videos, the bobs and vagene memes… everything. Arranged marriage is the root cause.
Think of the biggest, most hopelessly virginal white guy imaginable. Even he has more experience talking to girls than the average Indian.
