What are your opinions on this?
My country has decided to add taxes on the following stuff by October 1, do you think it's a good move or a bad move?

Carbonated drink taxes are stupid, but I can see the other two, I guess. I personally don't like tax hikes, but energy drinks and tobacco will definitely do you more bad in the long run than soda.

Welcome to England.

Basically, if a government is going to increase taxes then it really needs to justify the reason for the increases and demonstrate where the extra funds are going to be invested. Do you get public healthcare? If yes, your government has a good reason, if not then it doesn't have a leg to stand on.

in Israel they planned to have all unhealthy (= high sodium/calorie/sugar per 100g) products labeled with a big fat red label, but this didn't go through because of food monopolies' pressure
also, they've stopped selling cigarettes in army bases which is halfway reasonable because 80% of smokers begun smoking during their service

I don't use these, they are unhealthy. And I didn't enjoy either (Tried smoking).
