Being completely aware that being alone is better than being friends with a back handed two faced people. Go at your own pace(quite literally if you know you can only balance like one of two things two do that(work and school or work and a hobby) until you're comfortable enough to add another.
it's like martial arts drills, instructors says to go fast. he doesnt mean go so fast to a point where you mess it up
he means go fast to a point where you can execute it correctly and that speed it different for everyone.
Take your time but dont be so slow about it that taking your time becomes procrastination.
I used to be friends with people who were """taking their time""" it's been 10 years.
They're still in the same spot as if they graduate high school last year. that's not taking your time, that's doing nothing.
