Just to be fair the play button the stop button and volume button all have tiny little bumps on them for I assume blind people

it's probably an outdated implement by now.
it used to plug into the wall with a screw based outlet, and then to the cable wires that run with power and telephone lines.

TV would be received by the box, like a roku TV.

I think there's too much variance in the shape of the rectangular buttons for the shape of any of them to qualify them as unique, except for perhaps 'navigation select', as it seems to be the only square (although I'd need to measure it to be sure)—but in effect, 'select' is just another navigation button, and so its equilaterality didn't seem enough to mark it as MORE unique than one which is completely chromatically unlike the others (YELLOW), or one which has a wildly different effect (OPEN/CLOSE)

Personally I think it's the volume button it's essentially two buttons in one it's the only kind shaped it's way however it has a little bump like the play and fast-forward button does and it's black >>23279889

All kinds of things. They're called special function buttons and they're context sensitive shortcuts. Some menus will use them to do various things like close a menu, autotune to scan for channels or accessing a sub menu. Different apps have them do different things and depending on the model of TV you have they may do more like display resolution for connected devices or display serial information for the TV.
In most cases like the LG magic remote they're not programmable.
