With a job you could get a healthcare plan from your employer which in many cases would not result in a hospital bill. Once again, I'm not defending our healthcare system, but your exaggerations are obvious.
Also, people can use homeless shelters as addresses. A lot of places actually encourage people in the shelter to seek employment.
