i googled if i should add tap water conditioner to my houseplant water and the russian ai summary said that i shouldn't and it will hurt the plants and the english ai summary said that i should and it will benefit the plants

The chemicals both naturally occuring and added that are present in water vary wildly from place to place, this may explain it. However russia is fucking huge so the water will change from place to place.
By tap water conditioner do you mean the shit that removes chlorine for using the water in a fish tank? The chemical name would be more helpful then the product name

just some generic brand thing for aquarium water, i've been watering my plants exclusively with filtered water for months anyway so this will just ease the hustle since you can just add a drop directly into the water can and it would hypothetically be as good as filtered and the bald british guy i watch on youtube says that he adds the conditioner to all his plant water and his plants are doing more than just fine and that everyone should do that

i don't think that's the case and i think the ai can just be a little unreliable and i'm too lazy and zoomerbrained to do my own research anyway

If you just want to remove chlorine you can just let the water sit in a bucket/open container overnight and all the chlorine evaporates.
You are supposed to leave most water conditioners in the water in an open container for a couple hours anyway.
You could just make a habit of filling ur watering can or whatever you use to water ur plants back up with water after using then by the next day all the chlorine will be gone :)
