I had a dream where I stood in a vast, illimitable desert of vermilion dunes. In front of me, rising from the sea of sand, was a tall, gigantic wall of rock. Its facade was flat and smooth as if cut or formed by a feat of the super-engineering or the supernatural. Down the middle was a perfectly vertical geometric cleft, as if a huge laser had been shot down and through the mass of rock, creating a tight alleyway that went into the mountain. I walked through that alley and it turned abruptly to the right and I could see on my minimap that it turned in perfect 90 degree angles. At the end of the path, after another turn to the left, I saw a raised floor and on it there lay a rough-hewn stone sarcophagus, and I could see that characters were engraven on its side, but I could not decipher the characters. Then, suddenly, the stone slab that sealed the sarcophagus began shifting to the side, and from the opening arose a skeletal hand that beckoned me closer. Terrified, I ran as fast as I could. Faster than usually possible in a dream. And then I woke up.
