>>23397668from my recollection of public-education books in middle and high school in the mid 2000s to '12s, they try really hard to gloss over the hows and whys of the vietnam war and get really cagey about who even actually "won" (i do remember my history teacher giving an evil little laugh and telling us to remember whenever these books don't tell you straight out what happened it means we probably lost) and the korean war was half a page or less
