I got lost there one night.
in a 53 ft tractor trailer trying
to avoid The GW Bridge, it's
about 20 dollars an axle. I
was working for a Russian
outfit and I had dispatch
(out of Syria) on the phone
roll me through the first time.
The war has just started.
In the past the companies
trucking gps routed me,
but I was on my own non
trucking gps.
Took me by surprise as I see
the Broadway St in the flesh
and then labeled on my gps,
I always enter through
Brooklyn it seems
You can get lost in thought
driving hundreds of miles
a day and see many street
signs "Broad this, Way that,
So, as I start to gather the
road behind me and consider
how far to the other end of
the country I was, I realize I
was in none other than
The City That Never
Sleeps.
Good thing, because it
took me all night to get
out of there and back to
NJ that has the nearest
Truck Stop. The people
that helped me were great!
Big shout out, peace and
blessings. Had one beat cop
look at me kind of funny.
But I'm clearly not a terrorist,
I didn't even think to get
my trucker's atlas out in the
panic. Because NYC is only
2x14 miles. I could have had
an easier time of it.
