I'd say it's worth it but not what you'd expect, I'm a bit sad they don't focus on Tanja's age more but it's cool how in depth her thinking and the overall strategy of HQ is described.

I have a pdf of the first novel downloaded, I haven't read it yet but due to a page where it's written something like "Tanya Degurechaff's time line" I at least hope they work more on this part of her life in the novel.

Well lucky you because you actually spoilered me and the fact the empire loses is foreshadowed in the LN from the beginning XD
Some people say the LN is too slow but I'd love they would include many skipped parts, I mean a volume is only like 350 poorly filled pages so what the heck.
Also the manga (which hasn't even caught up to the anime yet) is supposedly way more focused on her age related struggles is way more focused on the age than either LN or animey I just wish it would progress faster
Man this really is peak nippon fiction right here

I think this is something common for a novel, but since tiktok has fried everyone's brains, I don't doubt that there are such opinions.

Well I don't know, the anime does not really follow the light novel throughly for the story, it deviates for acceptable reasons pretty hard but in spirit it's the same, idk what the manga follows I would guess the anime
