Idk something about it at the time killed me inside, for a lot of people here she's a really relatable character. I'm surprised that a bunch of autists on this website managed to craft someone so well-rounded

The fact that you get Katawa Dick like >>2360367 during the girls' scenes (not just Rin's) is what makes KS such a great game.

Coming from 4chan, players expected all sorts of degeneracy and the unexpected and surprising reaction most chantards got - feels - made it a powerful and memorable game.

I'd argue it's one of our greatest accomplishments, and the soundtrack is the gift that keeps on giving long after you've finished the game. The best way to relive those feels.

Usually the advice from /msg/ is to do Rin's last.

One common progression is Shizune, Lilly, Hanako, Emi, then Rin.

That said, I like the idea of playing blind (dohoho) the first time and seeing which girl you wind up with naturally. After that, look up spoiler-free guides to get to each girl's individual path.

Yeah, people reading him in school helps. He is a good writer though. The only other works of his I've read are Of Mice and Men and The Grapes of Wrath, both of which are fine reads. What I'm enjoying a lot with Cannery Row, and which I enjoyed in Grapes, were the short chapters after the more plot oriented chapters (such as chronicling the Joad family) are the short sketches or philosophical discussions that usually only last two or three pages. It adds a lot of life to the novels and broadens its scope

I agree and that's something I mentioned when I had to write a paper on Steinback in highschool, he had a very unique writing technique and the way his books are structured makes them easier to ingest for those unable to follow along with some of his work.

Which of his works have you read? Looking for a recommendation or two to read from him in the future. I've seen plenty of people say that East of Eden is great and probably his best novel, but I probably won't bother with it for a while because of its length when I have other things I want to read.
