i've heard it can get so hot in some of those places that they keep car/bus windows closed, since (i guess) body heat & still air is still cooler than airflow from the outside

there's lots of woods & pine trees & flat terrain, so i rarely get to see very far into the horizon, which is annoying
sometimes i hate how many bugs there are, especially in the spring (wasps, roaches, mosquitos, occasional scorpions, etc), but it's a sign of a nice ecosystem i guess, and there's cool animals as well
i found a really really old-looking turtle in a creek next to a cemetery once
i've heard turtles and frogs are sensitive to water pollution, so it's a good sign if they're around
but yeah it's not bad, fairly temperate
