The problem here is that now churches don't uphold traditional values, namely the catholic church. This is because of two things: the birth of atheism and liberalism and the business like nature of the catholic church. Atheism created a generation of people who did not find it necessary to go to church and liberalism created people who believed in loose family morals. Now what you have is the Catholic church desperately trying to grasp youth by appealing to liberal values, which undercuts the whole purpose of the church in the first place. Religion has become one big joke and it is very unfortunate.
