>>23629909>ff7 deserves its reputation, never touching the remakes though. used to have it on the ps1 back then. defeated ruby and emerald weapon. booyah
8 is... pretty fucking retarded. the story goes mad as it progresses but the gameplay is ok. never finished it though, every time i've tried since it released back in the day i always get burnt out by the time i hit the final dungeon because i'm never happy with how i levelled the characters.
9 - no. didn't own it, only seen it many years later and didn't like the art style at all.
10 is a classic and absolutely mad, would recommend. still got my ps2 version. great ending.
good luck defeating the optional dark aeons (pal version, apparently they weren't in the original american release fyi), i've never even managed the weakest one because holy shit the amount you'd have to grind/prep is ridiculous no-lifer shit.
getting the ultimate weapons fully activated is an absolute bitch, i've only ever been able to do it years later using an emulator with quicksave - lightning dodging, bird dodging, butterfly forest, yeah fuck doing those without quicksave.
even with quicksave i'll never ever get wakkas ultimate because blitzball is so, so bad and boring.
15 is... depressing and not very good. despite having impressive summons you have no control over them and they rarely show up.
also what they did to ignis is fucking out of order and that's when the game turns from somewhat fun to really depressing.
the english dialogue is shit, turning on jap dialogue doesn't help because the subtitles are from the english dub and they don't match up at all with a real translation (it's localised dogshit).
still, i did some of the punishing master dungeons.
i also completed pitioss dungeon without using any guides. damn that was wierd.
if you know, you know.
i'll admit some of the last battles were cool but the ending cutscene was really depressing even though you know exactly what's coming.
hope this helps.
