One thing i don't like about FNV is that you can't choose to settle the situation at the beginning, either you get goodneighbor or powder gangers shunned. And if you get powder gangers shunned it's pretty much game over for them because they turn hostile and you have to kill all of them now.

The other thing is that always irritates me is that when you start the game you can't go directly to the vegas strip.
There is a ton of deathclaws that are placed directly in between the strip and Goodprings.
Which makes it fucking impossible to walk trough

That's actual a clever way of blocking the player's path instead of putting an outright obstruction such as a message saying "You can't go there at this time". You could technically go past those DCs if you wanted.
Obsidian has a lot of little clever details in F:NV's design hence why it's such a great game.

With max speed and some clever wallhugging I think I remember going through in spite of the Deathclaws. Unfortunately I had installed another mod with added warzones so I walked into the middle of a Fiends/NCR firefight instead.

There's a stealth boy in the Goodsprings schoolhouse. If you take the northern path straight through the Goodsprings graveyard you can use the stealth boy to sneak past the Cazadors, then you can just run right by the Fiends and get from Goodsprings to Vegas in about 10 minutes. You don't need to get through any Deathclaws at all if you take the right path.
