So my parents are watching this dumb show call “The Stand” written by Stephen King and… It’s not good. The main characters have rocks for brains and the whole premise is just dumb. I can’t believe people watch this goyslop and like it.
Then a thought occurred to me: why don’t we write some le heckin’ kino scary ahh stories? Surely even /bant/ could write better than Stephen King, his books read like AI slop anyway.
So let’s get some ideas floating. Theme this session is Stephen King, but actually scary and good.

Finally i have arrived at the bant river and it broke my heart by looking at the state of it it was polluted by discord trannies but my mom used to tell me that this river was once very beautiful disappointed i turned to leave before i could a pisskin wearing a blue dress and a nigger with blonde hair and B shaped hair clips have surrounded me i realised that it was cirno and bant tan

It was the eleventh month of the third year of the /bant/-anuran war, the cold autumn ground littered with the bodies of frogs, fairies, and men. What had started as a planned two week special military operation by the Anuran Imperium to conquer the free international kingdom of /bant/ had turned into bloody almost four year long war of attrition that showed no sign of ending. Even as winter approached on the eastern reaches Froghansk and Donbant, the fighting raged with undiminished intensity. The Anurans refused to withdraw, and the Banites refused to surrender, neither would accept anything less than total victory, no matter the cost.
The first of winter snow began to fall as the frozen ground crunched under the weight of the armored personnel carrier’s tires. Inside of the vehicle, an elite fairy operative of the Bant International Battalion, code-named 'Ice Queen', sat with her squad of Banite soldiers, her glowing fairy wings illuminating the small metal compartment with an eerie turquoise light. She had been in this war since its very beginning, she was a veteran of the war. But as she looked at the fresh, young faces of the Banite soldiers in her squad, she could see no veterans among them. She supposed it was for that reason that High Command had assigned her to this mission; she was to lead these fresh-faced youths through the snowy, war-torn Donbant region, to secure the village of Novobantovka, and to report on what she found there.

“Roger that.” Ice Queen said simply in response as she stood up, her long, pointed ears twitching. Her fairy senses were tingling, a feeling that had saved her life on more than one occasion. “Get ready for contact we’re dropping hot.”
“When they hear you speaking Japanese they’re going to be scarred shitless,” Staff Sergeant Gon continues, “They know you’re the best and they’re not expecting you, you have the upper hand girls, Godspeed.”
“Time to fuck some shit up.” Ice Queen said, “Lock and load, Banites. Remember your training. Check corners, check your sectors, and keep your wits about you. We’ll be out in less than a minute.” Her turquoise eyes scanned the faces of the young soldiers, searching for any sign of fear or hesitation. She found none.
She nodded in approval as the carrier came to a sudden halt. A buzzer sounded and the rear ramp of the carrier began to lower, letting in the biting cold and the swirling snow. The smell of recently exploded artillery shells accompanied the sudden drop in temperature, along with the distinct, earthy smell of the Anurans themselves. The young Banite soldiers braced themselves, their rifles trained on the opening ramp.

As soon as the ramp hit the ground, Ice Queen was moving. Her turquoise wings fluttering, she shot out into the snowy landscape, a flash of turquoise light in a world of white and grey. The deafening sound of the heavy machine guns on the carrier opening up behind her to provide suppressing fire on the trench to the north, along with the sudden blinding flash and deafening roar of its smoke canisters launching and deploying provided her and her squad with the cover they needed to quickly move to the nearby ruins of a destroyed house.
“Move move move!” She yelled in Japanese over the sounds of battle as she landed on the snow covered ground, her boots sinking into the wet muddy mixture. The squad quickly followed her, the fresh faced Banites scattering and taking cover behind broken trees and the crumbling remains of what was once a home as Anuran return fire began to zip and whizz past their heads.
A rocket launched from the Anuran trench to the north, streaking through the snowy air and impacting the carrier with a fiery explosion, sending shrapnel flying in all directions. Ice Queen didn’t flinch, her turquoise eyes already fixed on the direction of the incoming fire. Unloading a barrage of glowing turquoise bullets from her rifle, she began to slowly advance towards the trench, her squad covering her. The bullets tore through the Anurans' slimy hides, causing them to explode in showers of gore and guts. The Anurans were tough, but they were no match for the fairy’s superior firepower and training.

Ice Queen took cover behind a frozen stone wall, the biting wind whipping her short blue hair across her face as she tossed a frag grenade over the top. An explosion echoed across the snow-covered landscape, followed by the wet squelching sounds of Anurans being torn apart by shrapnel. She reloaded her rifle with practiced ease, her movements fluid and efficient despite the thick winter gear she wore. The Anurans were firing back, but their shots were wild and inaccurate. She could see the fear in their large, bulging eyes.
“Two frogs just exited the trench to your north, looks like they might be bugging out, Ice Queen.” Staff Sergeant Gon’s voice came over the radio as he watch the battle unfold from his drone overhead, “ There’s an MG nestled in the thicket to the southwest, might be a problem if you try to push up the middle.”
“Noted.” Ice Queen replied coolly. “Lay down some fucking danmaku on the thickets I’m flanking left!”
With a sudden burst of speed, her wings humming with power, Ice Queen darted from behind the wall and flew low to the ground, her movements a blur of turquoise and blue against the white snow. She weaved through the skeletal remains of trees, her turquoise bullets tracing deadly patterns in the air as she suppressed the Anuran trench. The Anuran machine gunner in the thicket tried to track her, but she was too fast, too agile. She was a living, breathing work of art of destruction, a fairy of death and war.

Her squad followed her lead, laying down a withering barrage of fire on the Anuran positions. The Anurans, caught off guard by the sudden ferocity of the attack were unable to effectively return fire. Ice Queen reached the flank of the trench, her boots crunching in the snow as she landed. Stopping the pillbox dug into the earth, she dropped an incendiary grenade at its entrance and took a deep breath. The world seemed to slow down around her, the snowflakes hanging in the air like tiny stars. She could hear the pounding of her own heart, the blood rushing in her ears. She could feel the cold steel of her rifle in her hands, the rough texture of the trigger guard against her fingertips.
The grenade exploded with a whoosh of superheated air, the flames engulfing the Anuran machine gun nest and its occupants. Horrific croaking screams echoed from the flames as the Anurans burned alive, their slimy skin bubbling and popping. Ice Queen didn’t wait to see the results of her handiwork, she was already moving, her wings humming as she flew over the trench, her rifle spitting death. The Anurans below her were panic-stricken, their formation broken, their morale shattered. They fired wildly into the air, their shots going wide as the fairy of death rained down turquoise hellfire upon them.
Two of them dropped their weapons and made a break for it, their powerful legs propelling them through the deep snow. Ice Queen let them run, she had more pressing matters to attend to. She dropped into the trench, her boots splashing in the muddy, bloody water at the bottom. The remaining Anurans were huddled behind a makeshift barricade, their rifles trembling in their hands.

The Anurans looked at each other, their large, bulging eyes filled with a mixture of fear and confusion. They had heard the stories, the whispers of the Bantish Ice Queen, the fairy warrior who fought with the fury of a winter storm. They had laughed at the stories, dismissing them as propaganda.
Now, face to face with the legend herself, they weren't laughing anymore. One of them, a particularly large and ugly specimen with a scar running down its face, hesitated for a moment, then raised its rifle. Ice Queen didn't even flinch, her rifle barked once, and the Anuran’s head exploded in a shower of green gore. The other two, seeing the fate of their comrade, dropped their weapons and raised their hands.
“Please no kill us,” One of them croaked in its guttural, heavily accented Common. “We surrender. We good frog. We no fight anymore!”
“Secure them.” Ice Queen said over her shoulder to the Banite soldiers who had just caught up to her, their faces pale and their eyes wide with a mixture of awe and fear. “And get this trench cleared. We’re moving out in five.”

As the young Banite soldiers, their adrenaline still pumping, secured the two surrendering Anurans and began to methodically clear the trench, Ice Queen took a moment to survey the prisoners, she had to make sure there were no hidden weapons or suicide bombers among them. Her fairy senses were tingling again, a feeling that had saved her life on more than one occasion. She noticed something odd about one of the Anurans, a small, pulsating lump on its neck, hidden beneath its thick, slimy skin. She approached the Anuran cautiously, her rifle at the ready.
“What is that on your neck?” She asked, her voice cold and devoid of emotion.
“It just injury!” The Anuran croaked, its eyes darting nervously from side to side.
Ice Queen didn't believe it. She reached out with her gloved hand and touched the bloody lump. The Anuran flinched, a low guttural growl escaping from its throat.
“It from grenade,” It croaked, “Your grenade, a drone dropped it on us a week ago. Shrapnel.” The Anuran said, its voice trembling with fear.

Ice Queen narrowed her turquoise eyes. The two Anurans were practically skin and bone, their slimy hides covered in sores and their eyes sunken and hollow.
“How long have you been here?” She asked, her voice still cold and emotionless.
“We been here since spring,” The other Anuran said, speaking up for the first time, “They told us only one month rotation, but they never send replacement. They just send more and more of us. We just want to go home. We hungry, so hungry. We eat rats and mud to survive.”
Ice Queen’s cold expression softened for a fraction of a second, a flicker of something other than the icy warrior in her turquoise eyes. Anuran foot soldiers of the Imperium were not much more than cannon fodder to their commanders, she had seen it time and again, young, brainwashed frogs sent to their deaths for a cause they barely understood. She had even seen them eat their own dead to survive on more than one occasion. But she had also seen the brutality they were capable of when they had the upper hand.

“And get this trench mapped and reported,” She added, “The next squad that comes through here will need to know what they’re walking into.”
She turned away from the prisoners and the trench, her attention now on the village of Novobantovka, which was now visible in the distance, it’s half-destroyed buildings silhouetted against the grey, snow-filled sky. The village sat in a small valley, nestled between two snow-covered hills, a strategic location that both the Anurans and the Banites had fought over for the past year. The village had changed hands multiple times, each battle leaving it more and more scarred and broken.
“Let’s go,” She said to her squad, her wings humming with power as she rose into the air, “We’ve got a village to secure.”

Then, you will be back to the continent. You will go through the no-man's land, the murky and miry swamps, to finally reach the great city of the heavens. And next to it, the city of the broken moon. Do you remember its duke? no? not yet? very well... you will meet with your fate, sooner or later
