It’s just I don’t know I think it’s mostly the corporations and their parents influencing them on how to be and I probably wouldn’t have liked most of their parents but my parents were Gen X a bit as well so I have mixed feelings mostly my parents were like neglectful and have hippie bohemian tendencies and thus I wasn’t really raised by them at all which is what Gen X said about their parents a lot in the media, like in MTVs Daria for example or the Simpsons (Ned Flanders was not originally Gen X but his parents were hippies/beatniks)
Like im speaking part way about the collectivism because how did it come about? It wasn’t necessarily out in the open or good it wasn’t open to democracy and public debate and it has become almost like uniformity like it was in the 1950s (everyone dressing and acting the same)
