>>23754933>wouldn't like a lot of the water table get contaminated? I wouldn't be suprised if thousands of people die of cancer.it's possible
we'll never really know, i guess
i wish the american government had the resources to prevent that kind of situation, or atleast take measures to contain it, or atleast take some kind of damage report. maybe one day we'll have the technology...
>loads of rivers here are being found to contain forever chemicals and shit, its really sad what human greed does to nature.it is sad, but also it's probably an underestimation of nature (for the sake of a news buzzword..) to call those "forever chemicals"
it happens across MUCH wider timescales than those humans operate in, but nature continually
any large buildup of some new chemical in an environment will eventually be integrated into nature
nature "finds" and fills in niches. that's what it does, and that's how new species come about
it really is just a problem of timescale
the beautiful interdependent self-balancing system nature created was upset when humans discovered fossil fuels & built all this shit in the blink of an eye, and several species will suffer & die as a result, but it's ultimately just the balance being upset
humans as a species are still way too primitive to actually fuck with nature in any fundamental way
the unnecessary suffering of existing species is a shame, and it's absolutely not worth it for what the fruits are squandered on, but i'm just saying try not to despair about nature itself
humans can't kill that sort of a god
permaculture is an interesting topic
there are widely applicable engineering/design principles which can be gleaned from observing nature in the right way
>Its crazy that they manage to get shit like that out of the public eye so fast.yeah..
>id image it really fucks with the wildlife though :(i didn't think about that but you might be right
atleast it's only one day of the week..
