I'm not even joking. We were talking about how German toilets have the shit shelf and he said that it's very common that people(especially those over age 40) play with their shit without gloves. Of course the whole point of the German toilet design is to prevent splashing(or so I assumed) but he told me it's actually to "inspect your shit" for health purposes as they claim, but is it really? He says that a lot of people actually play with shit, often sexually. It's a very common taboo topic in German culture. A stereotype based in some truth. He says that there was lots of scat porn produced by Germany in the 1970s and into the 1980s, and that to this day, many older people can be seen with dried shit under their fingernails from daily play. He says that the design obviously means constant smearing from poo, so you have to wash it off, and that most Germans just rub it off with their hands then wash their hands after. WHAT THE FUCK?
