I felt real for the first time in a while.. she hugged me and I was thinking about hugging someone last night because I hadn’t in years..

Social media is extremely fake. A lot of people are just putting on a facade, advertising is done to control how they act, and there is a lot of accounts made with bots to influence your anger.

Personally I enjoy owning a small website that I code on every couple of weeks. I have a small circle of online friends who also have websites and it's a great way to interact.

For IRL friends, I really just stick to a small discord server where we do weekly games nights to have a reason to catch up, and then stick to social media where the purpose isn't to talk about yourself. E.g. letterboxd to share film watches with your friends.
