No, I'm not joking or being facetious, in their culture it is seen as noirmal to try and swindle or trick people, and if you scammed then it was your own fault for being so stupid. Chinese tech products follow the exact same formula every time:
make a big announcement with a very bold technological claim to get funding from investors
release articles from tech reviewers claiming that this is a revolutionary breakthrough that will compete with *insert highly sought after western product here*....then it turns out all these journalists were Chinese, and therefore had to say good things about a Chinese-made product or else get disappeared by the CCCP
no independant reviews from anyone outside of China
product releases, western reviewers finally get hands-on with the product and test it
it turns out to be a piece of shit, or just sub-par at best
no one buys it and the company that made it slowly vanishes with the CEO someohow still being a millionaire/billionaire going on to do the exact same thing all over again with a new company
