Is it hard to learn another language than English?

Im just wondering if non-English speaker like our country was able to learn English as secondary language at early age because its mandatory education, is it hard for you as English-only speaker to be bilingual?

If you can, how did you learn it? What languages can you speak? If you cant, why?

I think it's hard for English speakers to learn other languages because English is such a retarded language that it makes it harder for us to learn different rules for other languages

It isn't exactly difficult as not important. There is no push from parents "Why isn't my kid in grade/middle/high school learning a foreign language?" because it isn't that important, so schools don't focus too much on it. Even when there is a requirement, the classes are a joke. That said, English isn't really closely related to the many Romance, Slavic, East Asian languages so in that regard it could be more difficult, but I mean people do it all the time. I just think it's dumb because English has both a Germanic origin as well as french, which leads to a bunch of stupid rules and areas where those rules don't apply. When I was learning Italian, the rules made sense, there were no silent letters or anything like that. but I still had a hard time with wrapping my head around the rules

I see. I tried learning Italian when i was young but it was confusing to me. Our language was closely to how Japanese is spoken and wierdly enough, its also easy to learn and speak
