>>23833139yeah thats always been the case on 4chan with anonymity and i've learned to treat it like a bad slapstick joke because its so off and unserious (not that everything has to be serious all the time)
there are those who will lurk just to strike at the right opportunity
learning and identifying different logical fallacies has also helped a lot too, the easiest to identify and most common is ad hominem which is basically childish name calling/smearing of character
when you get into deeper challenging conversations people will invariably lose their composure when challenging their world view beliefs systems and resort to other fallacies like red herring, strawman, appeal to emotion, or 'no true scottsman' (this one just happened in another thread)
i'll keep the conversation going in good faith and not take it personal because i understand why they are upset as long as it doesnt sprial into ad hominem
