mostly rarity. u don't need to age tea for crazy long amounts of time to get good results puer autists are kinda like the type of ppl that buy the oldest possible whisky instead of just getting something like a Laphroaig quater cask because they care more about the prestige of having some old rare shit rather than just the taste.

ah fair enough, getting samples is sometimes good tho because u can get like fucking 30 of them for pennies then u don't end up with kilos of tea u don't like sitting around.
I mostly drink oolong (cong mostly) though so maybe I just don't share the "if I keep this for 15 years maybe it'll taste better" mentality when buying tea.
get some of the zhon song tea guru has its rlly nice, his duckshit is good too but keep it in the fridge
