like, it seems to be more about the populace who no longer see truth value at all in things than about Big Brother, and more about the populace being okay with Big Brother and ratting people out to Big Brother than just Big Brother existing in the first place. In fact, doesn't Big Brother (as an actual device/system/gubment department/whatever) not even exist? isn't it a plot point that the cameras go to monitors but no one actually watches the monitors, and all the people who get caught by the party were caught because they got ratted out or turned themselves in or something?
