>>23866616Honestly, I only care that at least one of my pests finds a way in life. That is why I have three of them, a main one and two backups. Of course, there is the whole 'mom and I love you so much', and yada-yada. Being a parent is low maintenance after they are old enough to turn on the TV or operate an iPad. We just spray and pray.
My oldest already looks like a lost case, can't even wake up in time and set an alarm. Also eats under stress, she seems hopeless. But I got her to lose weight (the only thing I achieved as a dad, really) and enjoy being thin, so she might get a tolerant husband who will have small expectations. She thinks she is the family's favorite, but in reality she is the family's "lowest expectations".
The second one looks promissing, but I have to pretend that he isn't addicted to hentai. At least he is doing well in math classes and actually studies. He might do well in college.
The third one, I frankly do not care. I didn't spend much time with him as a kid, and I just know he'll blame me for everything wrong in his life and cry about it. I do not understand the things that he likes, and the mother was also tired, let him watch Youtube as a kid.
I was diagnosed with the empathy level akin to a psychopath, so there is that. But most parents indeed have their own life and cannot micromanage yours.
