I’ve been deep in the nutrition rabbit hole for years reading studies, books, meta-analyses, following researchers, trying to figure out what the actual optimal human diet is.
What blows my mind is how every major approach has people who are 100% convinced they’ve cracked the code:
Keto/carnivore folks: humans are apex predators, cut carbs/plants, reverse disease, feel unstoppable.
Vegan/plant-based crowd: animal foods are the problem, whole-food plants = longevity and disease prevention.
Mediterranean advocates: most evidence-based pattern, proven in huge populations, olive oil/fish/veg for life.
Raw/primal/carnivore types: cooking destroys nutrients, raw animal foods are how we evolved, zero inflammation.
Each side has testimonials, before/afters, cherry-picked studies, and charismatic influencers saying everything else is poison and this changed their life forever.
But… they can’t all be right. Right?
